My current laptop has Win7 installed. Recently i tried to access old data DVDs (containing videos) stored in "Nero Image file" format.....i used to have Nero Image drive previously and accessing these files were very simple. Currently i don't even use Nero (who backups data in CD/DVD these days?).....The application to install Nero Image drive was obtained several years back and i found it in one of my older Hard Disks. But its not installing....it didn't install -in my laptop or even in my desktop (which runs on Windows XP)....it is showing CRC error......one of my older(oldest) laptop which runs on WinXP has Image drive loaded and it works....but this laptop runs very slowly (sometimes too slow and many times it hangs also)-i want to reformat it. So as i am sure u all may have got the picture....if i am to reformat my old laptop, i must get Nero Image drive

So my question....is it possible to obtain Nero Image drive to work with Windows7 (or atleast WinXP)????

If yes....plz mention where will i get Nero Image drive from????


PS: I tried accessing the image file with "Magic ISO"...it is able to extract the files in the image.....but the video is glitched (full of grains).....

If it's used for drive emulation, Daemon tools too should work.

By the way, since Magic ISO can open the file, I doubt if other softwares will perform better.

From Nero FAQ:

Nero ImageDrive has been excluded from Nero products since Nero 9 due to the compatibility with the recent Windows Operating System (works with XP, but not 7 and above).

If there's a need to install a software that installs a virtual drive in your computer to mount an image file, please be stressed to find other software for it which is currently available in the market since Nero ImageDrive is no longer officially available.

Yes....but remeber ....The videos are fine when i open it on my older laptop(which i don't normally use)-which has Nero Image drive loaded. Magic ISO is able to extract the same videos with glitches.
