Property is a bad idea if you think of safety.
So are bank fd's and other financial instruments if you consider the time value of money, the real rate of returns is barely more than two percent. That brings us to the best long term investment option. Gold.
Here is why:

• Bitches be crazy! In other words, the demand for gold in india or the world will never decrease and that means the price will never come down, baring some price corrections and fluctuations ofcourse.
• The annual rate of price growth in gold has been well over 10%approx. which means, even accounting for the time value of money, the rate of return compared to a standard yield 10 year Indian treasure bond, is still around 5%.

A basic advise would be, if you are going for a year, go for an fd in a bank but if you are going for long term investments, 5yrs+ the best would be buying gold or preferably, buying gold bonds. I would say go for gold if you have a wife, think of all the extra bj's and sex you will get atleast for a few weeks for buying her gold worth 5 lakhs . Thats what we call a full paisa wasool investment.
