when x=2, that means x-2 = 0
In second last step you are, dividing both the sides by zero, ( or say,... you are
taking zero as common - out ) which is not allowed in Maths.

The minute, you divide by zero, the quantity becomes Infinitive ( Arth-veheen ) and hence it's not allowed.

Also in other words,... in second last step , when you multiply both sides by zero,.. both side becomes zero, and no further steps occur thereafter.

Here is similar one,..

I was going on a road, and now the road splits into two.

I need to go to the school,..... and not sure, which road will take me to the school.

There were, two kids sitting at that split,. and I am told that,...
.... out of which,..
