No, I think xp is not such a bad OS. It's got quiet a few advantages which I understand many may find appealing.

I use 7 only because xp cannot support my motherboard, otherwise I might still use xp.

Personally I still prefer XP over windows 7 (although my primary OS is ubuntu 12.04) as XP is much faster, and less buggy. Plus many old compilers are 16 bit compilers which Windows 7 doesn't support well.

2) In addreas bar type: "about:config"

3)Look for were it says "network.http.pipelining" to TRUE
