केतु- रत्न लह्सनिया को संस्कृत में वैदूर्य, हिन्दी में लह्सनिया, अंग्रेजी में CAT’S EYE STONE कहते है! यह नग अन्धेरे में बिल्ली की आँखों के समान चमकता है! लह्सनिया 4 रंगों में पाया जाता है! कलि तथा श्वेत आभा युक्त लह्सनिया जिस पर यज्ञोपवित के समान तीन धारियां खिंची हों, वह वैदूर्य ही उत्तम होता है!
पहचान : (1) असली लह्सनिया को यदि हड्डी के उपर रख दिया जाए तो वह 24 घण्टे के भीतर हड्डी के आर-पार छेद कर देता है! (2) असली वैदूर्य में ढाई या तीन सफेद सूत्र होते है, जो बीच में इधर-उधर घूमते हिलते रहते है!
धारण विधि : लह्सनिया रत्न बुधवार के दिन अश्विनी, मघा, मूला नक्षत्रों में, रविपुष्य योग में पंचधातु की अंगूठी में कनिष्ठका अंगुली में धारण करें! धारण करने से पूर्व केतु के बीज मन्त्र द्वारा अंगूठी अभिमंत्रित करें! 5 रती से कम वजन का नहीं होना चाहिए! प्रत्येक 3 वर्ष पश्चात नई अंगूठी में लह्सनिया जड़वाकर उसे अभिमंत्रित कर धारण करना चाहिए!

Devotion to Goddess Durga lighting lemon lamps :
Devotion to Goddess Durga wards off all dangers and evils from our house, family and body. The reason why lemon lamps are lit in temples in house ( some wont light in house but i do ) during raagu kaal is to ward off the influence of Lord Raahu.
Friday – 10.30 Am to 12 PM – morning hours

Sunday – 4.30 PM to 6 PM- evening hours.

If you can’t light lemon lamps, light ordinary lamps with oil or ghee. If not on above time, atleast light any time in morning or evening on any days.

Making a Lemon lamp :
I will explain how to make lemon lamp for people who have not done it.
1.Take a lemon, press it on floor or any hard surface few times to make it become less harder.
2.Cut the lemon in two halves.
3.Take off all the juice by pressing in a cup , make sure all the flesh is completely off .
4.Invert the lemon gently in such a way that it makes a cup like structure where u can pour oil or ghee. sometimes, the lemon will create a whole in center which must not be used.Thats why u have to buy extra lemons.
5.Then take 2 wicks , Pour oil or ghee and light it.
6.You can pour extra oil or ghee while doing prayers, if u want the lamps to continue burning .sometimes the lemon it self will start to burn because of over head.
7.I explain everything in detail because since it involves fire, please take utmost care while doing this pooja.

Its not necessery that you only light lemon lamps. if not possible, light a ordinary earthern lamp or any lamp you can. ( Don’t ask me if you can light electric lamp. I am surprised people ask this strange question too…ha… ha…. kaliyug …

important tests to identify Real Rudraksha.

Magnetic field test:



Original Rudraksha will have a magnetic field around it. This character can be used to find out a Real one. Place Rudraksha between two copper coins. Rudraksha rotates itself.


Precautions:
Place Rudraksha on the coin vertically with it's poles facing up and down. Bring the second copper coin slowly, so that you can see the movement.

Results:
Rudraksha must rotate in Clockwise direction (Pradakshina). There will be some Rudrakshas which rotate Anti-clockwise (Apradakshina). But never take them. They are also Rudrakshas but will have Negative energy.



Density test:

Real Rudraksha will sink in water or milk. Rudraksha beads from unripe fruits will also float on water. But they are useless.


Thermometer test:

It is a simple test which explains an important property of Rudraksha. Place Rudraksha in a glass with small amount of water (just enough to cover Rudraksha). Record temperature by using a Thermometer. Record the temperature after 30 minutes. You can observe 1 or 2 degrees centigrade rise of temperature.


Milk test:

It is a time consuming test. But, it shows the superiority of Ek mukhi Rudraksha over all remaining Rudrakshas. Place Rudraksha in a glass of fresh milk. See after 2 days. The milk will not spoil. Some quality Rudrakshas can protect milk for even 3 days. Ek mukhi Rudraksha will work for 5 to 7 days. Really!
