Don't be that lazy
If the patient wasn't diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease, It doesn't mean he wasn't in need of a stunt and none would advise stent just on basis symptoms you mentioned without supportive evidence by laboratory means i.e. Angioplasty. So Stop letting your brain roam so freely, it might never come back Commission is everywhere so stop crying about this, Commission of not, You are going to get charged same, so what one does with profit is his personal right. Better do your homework about accusing docs are there are plenty here to speak the truth. |

But at the same time, there are very large percentage of those, who work really selflessly. I am sure, most of us have experienced good doctors. I get mad when the good ones are maligned by those greedy fools. |

for every angioplasty a CD is provided..the relatives can take this to any other cardiologist and see if really a stent is needed to be put in or not.. and if stent is not needed they can sue the doc.. with such a hard evidence can u think any doc will put in stent when its not required |

![]() However gastric upset and early heart attacks sign and symptoms are way to similar, Not to mention in Many cases of early/impending heart attack ECG changes are not present. So Being on safe side doctors would like to have patient under supervision. Now you narrated an entire fake story let me tell you one real incident. One Night around 9 PM one old friend calls me and said his father is having chest pain, I took them to emergency of Medical college hospital get ECG done and there was nothing on ECG ( Checked by me, My friend @ emergency 2nd year MD student and lastly by my father a professor of medicine, ex president of Association of physicians chapter Rajasthan ) So sent them home. Next Morning again chest pain happened and now on morning ECG there were evidence of early/impending heart attack, so he got treated accordingly and he is safe and sound now. |

I would know when they are telling the story and when they are telling the fact. Both heart attack/stent case are purely imaginary. |

What cheating?
according to some stoned guys here, docs never cheat. ![]() its always the patients who are foolish. Anyways, in small towns where medical facilities are not adequate, people has to come to big cities sometimes traveling hundred of kilometers. then they are under the supervision of the big hospitals. and have less access to their family doc. yes its a different case if any doc belongs to your family. considering the population of india, it desperately needs lots of GOOD doctors. And I think only people who really want to help other people should become docs, not the mean minded greedy egoistic ones. Success, respect and money would come eventually. Not like those people who pay crs of rupees for their medical education and then exploit their patients to recover the money they spent on education. Good docs need not to worry about sayamev jayete episode or any body's comment including mine. But people should be beware of greedy ones. And regarding commissions paid by pharma companies and big hospitals and diagonistic labs to doctors... No doc here can deny this. There is a reason that despite more and more people opt for health insurance, its prices have gone up. Its because hospitals have started exploiting it. Especially the big ones. That is the reason most of the insurance companies once stopped cashless facilities in all big hospitals. Last edited by razortooth : 7th June 2012 at 10:59 PM. |
