This really has been baffling. What is the need for showing the same thing on 9 channels? I can understand 1 for each language, but 9 is still ridiculous. And the HD space on Star Plus HD / Star World HD too is wasted for this. Keep forcing it on people and they will find newer channels to reject it with.

I guess its not the over hype, its the over exposure, i dnt have time to watch the show, yet i m updated about wot hapnd in the show thru internet discussions, star news airing special slots etc.

Not really, how many shows have moved u to the extent that govt machinery has got into action and so many people in the business of female foeticide r being caught ?

i wonder if all those who are against this show in this thread are doctors. cuz after that doctor episode lots of people have gone against the show.

if you see closely, most of the pages of this thread has been discussing about the doctors episode.

2 episodes have gone on air after that, yet one finds no mention about those shows.

everybody likes to pass on the buck, first 2 episodes were fine, cuz it dealt with girl child and child abuse and dowry. No specific community to be blamed, but one episode on doctors and all hell broke loose.

even with clear message in the show that not all docs use mal practice in there profession, yet it seems AK has unearthed some nexus which has shooked the medical fraternity.

Well, to be honest, I did not know the extent of things going around in the female feticide and dowry stuff.
But when the doctors' episode was telecasted, it showed a great deal of careless research and biased statements by the show.

I agree that all the episodes are of concern, but the show has lost the credibility in terms of its truthfulness and facts.

So, the next time I watch the case of physically handicapped people, I will not know that how much of this has been sensationalised...


Also, of the impact that you are saying; there are hell lot of things happening around. Everyday some one is caught of something. The news channels do not give them importance. Since, the show was made, the news channels want to gain publicity and hence the coverage.
