Get hold of a toy cigarette and place in between your lips and deeply inhale and exhale. Imagine it is a real cigarette. After you try this for a few days , you will feel frustrated and give up. The urge to smoke will also disappear.

After smoking a cigarete,place Rs100 as fine inisde a box.Do it everytime and donate all the money to some charity.Once you will learn that how much its costing you financially,you will try to reduce the number and eventually reach zero.Plus,you can try nicotin gums.
P:S-It all depends on how much will power you got.I dont smoke,drink and I am a vegeterian but I had a bad habit of eating pan masala(not gutkha) and I thought it was impossible to let go that habit(5-6 pouches a day).But gradually,I decided not to eat and since 5 years,I dont eat them anymore. |

Its very east to stop any addiction or bad habit, whether its smoking, drinking, tobacco etc.
The trick is that, after smoking a cigarette do some boring, hard, don't like work for example go to some place where you don't like to be (where you normally don't go) (some 10 or 20 km away) or do some boring task for 1 or 2 hr in one stretch or any other task which you don't like & don't do normally. Repeat this boring task whenever you smoke..... and don't do any other thing till you finish this boring task, keep this ritual strict. After 2 or 3 times your urge to smoke will go down & eventually you can control it whenever you want as your body don't want to do that boring task. After some weeks new good habit will form which will overtake your smoking addiction. Its like fine, punishment etc but here we ourselves fine us rather than government or other people. The above things are just the tricks you will play with your mind to make you believe that you are trying to Quit, the only way you can Quit is by deciding that from now you wont smoke and that's it, nothing else would help, the moment you decide you have Quit, it's over. (Shift+Delete)
