In the event that Liverpool lose and Sevilla draw, things get complicated. That will leave all three teams tied on nine points, which means that head-to-head records come into play.
The first tiebreaker will be points earned in games between Liverpool, Spartak and Sevilla - and Liverpool would be eliminated having picked up just three points from those. Sevilla have five, while Spartak would have seven.
If Liverpool lose and Sevilla win, however, then the Reds will be out and looking at a tilt at the Europa League in 2017. Unthinkable.
I saw the Maribor Spartak game.
If we canít manage a draw at home to them, we donít deserve to go through.
Finishing first or second doesnít matter much (apart from the confidence) as there are some very strong teams that will finish second.
